Robert & StephanieLady Bird Farm April 6th 2019 Robert and Steph got married on April 6th, 2019 at Lady Bird Farm in Rockwell, NC. It was the most beautiful spring day you could imagine. They were surrounded by the kindest people and their wonderful kids. Steph replied to her gallery saying "you are one of the family now" and I truly feel that in my heart. I could not be more grateful for opportunities to meet families like theirs. I was apart of their celebration and that is all I could ask for. I think its really important to celebrate each couple with their friends and family. I believe that is how you truly capture the story to the fullest. gorgeous details😍 love the classic black🖤 raise your hand if you're team first look🙋🏻♀️ the biggest perk of first looks ^ all those photos done before ceremony!!👏🏼☑️ Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Fish!!🐠green omnivore farm April 14th, 2018vendor listVenue: Green Omnivore Farms // The Lodge Weddings http://thelodgeweddings.com Florals + Decor: Sassifras Design www.sassifrasdesign.com Stationary: Margo Nichol // Cotton & Ink Wedding Paperie https://www.etsy.com/shop/CottonandInkWedding Cake: Hanna's Amazing Cakes www.facebook.com/hannasamazingcakes/ HMUA: Jordan Severance//Shampoo 202 https://www.facebook.com/Shampoo202/ Models: Cody & Jordan Severance It's time I quit hoarding all these pictures in their pretty little gallery. This shoot was such a daydream. I have honestly had trouble coming up with words to describe it. To work together with such inspiring people and create magic together leaves you kinda speechless. I think my biggest motivation for this styled shoot was a desire to do something creative just for fun. That was my biggest rule that I kept reminding myself. But also to capture something that might make others feel inspired. Whether it be a future bride or another industry vendor. This was honestly such a helpful outlet to get out of that winter creative rut and inspired for this brand and the upcoming year. I hope this inspires you to bring a vision of your own to life, go give these amazing vendors a follow on social media, I know they'd love to have you!
Sometimes the sessions closest to home are the closest to our hearts. I met Sarah + Marius at The Hitchin' Post just 10 minutes down the road from my house. From the moment I pulled in I felt warm and welcomed. There was just that hometown feeling the entire time, something that you don't always feel when you're miles away. Don't get me wrong I love some adventure, but I am a sucker for those "round here" stories. the hitchin' postthe pondSo so excited for their October wedding! I cannot even find words for how I am feeling at the end of this season. This fall has been absolutely incredible. I have had so many amazing opportunities to photograph such priceless memories. We have smiled, laughed, cried, walked, talked, said goodbye to old dogs, celebrated new ones, counted our blessings, danced, prayed, welcomed babies, played, hugged, celebrated marriages and engagements and life!!!! And I cannot wait to see what 2018 will bring! December is almost completely booked, and I cannot wait to finish off 2017 with a bang! "When you support small business, you're supporting a dream." This couldn't be more true, and I couldn't be more humbled. Words won't do it justice but I couldn't be more grateful for every single one of you who have had an impact on the journey of Maddie Leigh Photography. From photographers, videographers, + other vendors in the industry, to insanely sweet clients, and amazing support from my friends + family. I can't help but to feel extremely blessed to be able to do what I do. Not only have you impacted my business, you've impacted my life. Here's to another incredible season full of love!
I had the pleasure of meeting Josh + Sarah at their land in January. It was the most relaxed client meeting I've ever had. We walked around their gorgeous property, discussed their vision for their wedding day and signed a contract on the bed of their truck. A long anticipated 9 months and it was time for their wedding. The day could not have been more perfect. They said "I do" at their church surrounded by friends and family, and celebrated at their property afterwards. These pictures truly tell their love story and I couldn't be more grateful to have been able to capture it. Congratulations Mr. + Mrs. Childers!
This sweet little family is expecting a baby girl in December. I am so excited for them and beyond grateful to have the opportunity to capture such a special time in their life. This whole session is just dreamy. I love the woodsy vibe, and all around joy captured. Also they couldn't be more gorgeous. I cannot wait to have their sweet little girl in front of my camera.
I got to have these two in front of my camera a few weeks ago. Kaitlyn & Joey scheduled a sunrise session with me. We all know how hard it is to wake up early and get out there, but I'm telling you, it is so worth it!! Sunrise sessions are my fav. The dew, fog, and morning light is always so perfect. Puppies are always welcome too ;) Joey was leaving for the Army and they wanted to have pictures done before he left.
Kaitlyn reached out after I delivered their gallery and let me know that these photos have been the only thing keeping her smiling in this rough time. THIS is exactly why I love what I do so much. Pictures are such a special gift. And people treasure them so much. I am so grateful that I get to be apart of such sweet moments of life. I figured I would quit hoarding all my landscape work for myself. Just a few pretty scenes for your chilly fall Monday evening. I love when I get a chance to just go on a drive and take pictures of places as I go. It's kinda my happy place. Dramatic skies and country roads always help too. We took a day trip to Lake James last February. The pictures from it have been tucked away in my photo library ever since. I was so happy to come across these little gems. Ryan Longnecker posted a photo on instagram a few months ago. And the words just resonated with my soul. His words were : "Raising daughters is a little terrifying. Some days I feel heavy and dark that they will have to learn how little some people care about each other and how violent and sad it can be. Then I remember about moments like this, and how it's shaped me to want to make beauty if I don't see it, then make and see more; I find hope there." With all the things happening in the world, and raising daughters of my own,
I often find myself going back to that picture to read those words. It is so much more than inspiring. It refills my heart with hope. Hope that love will conquer, and the beauty seekers will keep on seeking. It reminds me to try to find light in the darkness. And to never let fear win. My heart has been so heavy lately, as well as many others. I feel like this is the only way for me to get through, to keep looking for the magic. And maybe the beauty that I find and share will heal and refill another heavy heart. |
